Per eCRATER founder Dimitar, "eCrater.com was born few minutes before midnight on September 27, 2004 in Irvine, CA. We celebrated the event with a bar of a Swiss chocolate (that was all we had at that hour of the night)." By January 28, 2006, listings had grown to 100,000. Setting Up an eCRATER Store

Setting up a store was easy and fun, and the help I receive daily through the eCRATER forums is invaluable. Easy-to-use templates make store setup a breeze. Sellers receive free website hosting, a free subdomain, and a powerful admin tool to manage their free on-line stores. Store items are automatically posted to Google Shopping in a nightly feed.
